Teatro Civico
In the namesake square, known as Plaça del Bisbe for the presence of the episcopal office of the Bishop of Alghero-Bosa dioceses, there is the Teatro Civico, built in 1800 over the Mercato delle Granaglie. Its main peculiarity is the wooden structure, a rare case in Sardinia. Its neo-classic facade has 6 pilasters and ionic capitals, while on the inside there are 260 seats parted into parterre, three lines of daises and the gallery.
The Royal Dais is in the second line and behind it there is the foyer, traditionally used by important guests, and has windows who face the square.
