Plastic packages and Cans aluminium and steel
For Plastic packages and cans use the door-to-door waste collection service. Check the right collection day on the schedule of your area. Put plastic packages and cans in transparent bags.

Yes: plastic beverage bottles, plastic bottles (shampoo, shower gel, detergents), plastic and polystyrene packs, boxes and trays for food (yoghurt pats, cheese, meat and fish trays), disposable plastic plates and cups, beverage c ans, tin cans for food storage, aluminium or steel caps, aluminium trays, empty aluminium spray.

No
: plastic objects (plastic cutlery, plastic toys, plastic furniture or appliances or pieces of them. Paint or solvent cans, cans with “toxic” or “flammable” icons.

Organic food waste
Put organic food waste in compostable bioplastic bags. Then put well-closed bags in the right recycling bin as specified in the collection’s schedule of your area.

Yes: cooked and uncooked leftover food (vegetables, fruits, meat, fish…), eggshell, stale bread, fruit peels, little meat bones, coffee grounds and tea bags, napkins and white paper towels.

No: garden waste, liquid waste, disposable plastic plates and cups, pottery plates, glasses, cutlery, disposable nappies, sanitary napkins, adult diapers, plastic packs for food.

Glass
Use recycling bins located on public roads to collect glass. Don’t use bags to collect glass.

Yes: glass bottles, glass jars for canning.

No: mirrors, glass, pottery or porcelain objects, incandescent light bulbs and neon lights, TV screen.

• Waste collection centre UNGIAS GALANTÈ, from Alghero to Sassari, in the direction of the SP 42. Open from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm in weekdays. Closed in weekends.
• Waste collection centre GALBONEDDU, from Alghero in the direction of Olmedo (SP 19 bis). Open form 8:00 am to 12:00 am and from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. in weekdays. From 8:00 am. to 11:00 am in weekends.

YES: bulky waste (furniture, mastress, box springs, appliances), pc and screens, mobile phone, garden waste, waste oil, mirrors and windows, big canister, domestic renovation waste, expired drugs, exhausted batteries, incandescent and neon light bulbs, paint and solvent cans, empty spray, cans with “toxic” or “flammable” icons, toner and cartridge ink, used clothes, electic and electonic devices, big packages.
